My philosophy

What matters most to me is seeing you leave with a genuine smile and greater confidence. Every moment you spend here is an experience that is entirely dedicated to you.

You are the center of my attention. We take our time, without rushing, to talk and understand what makes you feel good about your appearance.

Far from fleeting trends, my approach is focused on what truly suits you. I want you to leave with a haircut and/or haircolor that evolves with you, respects the nature of your hair, and allows you to feel in harmony with yourself, day after day.

Each appointment is a genuine care experience, whether through an energetic haircut, a nape hair reading, a haircut & treatment, a neutral henna, a plant-based hair dye or a clay balayage. Each of my services is designed to provide you with well-being and relaxation while taking care of the health and beauty of your hair.

I place particular importance on the products I use. Natural, organic, and respectful of your health, they contribute to the quality of the experience. That’s why I am proud to work with Hairborist, a Belgian brand certified Ecogarantie, one of the most demanding ecological labels in Europe.

My story

My name is Marjorie, and I am originally from Davézieux in France. My passion for hairdressing has been with me since I was very young. Naturally, I decided to train and turn it into my profession.

At the end of 2015, after obtaining my diplomas, my curiosity led me to Australia. I lived there for two intense years, working in Melbourne and at Bondi Beach in Sydney. In 2016, my lifestyle took a turn. The open-mindedness and diversity I encountered in Australia profoundly changed my view of the world and my profession.

Upon returning to France in early 2018, I chose to adopt an ethical approach by exclusively using vegan and organic products. Based in Paris, I was fortunate to work in a plant-based hair salon.

At the end of 2021, I felt the call of Portugal, and it was in Ericeira that I founded "The Sweet Roots," my first micro-enterprise. This period allowed me to reconnect with simple and natural values in my approach to hairdressing.

At the beginning of 2023, a trip to Argentina marked a new chapter in my journey. I fell in love with Buenos Aires and felt the desire to nurture my creativity there. It gave me the perspective I needed to rethink my way of working and my connection with people.

I then returned to France to train in energetic haircut – Rémi Portrait method – with Sophie Tacussel in Annecy. This training deepened my practice, enriching my approach to hair care and giving it even more meaning.

Today, shaped by all these experiences and encounters, I am back in Ericeira, continuing my journey—this time under my own name: Marjorie Desglene.
